Gentle Flow Yoga 9:00am online through Zoom
In this hour long gentle yoga class, you will be guided through stretching, strengthening and balancing poses that will encourage you to let go of the past, as well as the future, and recenter in the present moment. Carve out this time to experience the simple yet exquisite nature of your moving, breathing body. No experience necessary.

The eight-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn will take you into the deep journey of BEING. In this eight-week course, you will learn and experience a variety of mindfulness practices that can help you settle into the sensations of your body, be with your thoughts and emotions through the practice of awareness, and respond more wisely to the stressors in your life. Sharing these experiences through group dialogue will offer you the possibility of connecting with others in a deeply personal way.
If you long to live more fully, with an increased sense of peace, clarity and stability, and with more compassion for yourself and others, now may be the perfect time to give yourself this gift.

As the child of a recovering alcoholic, I learned about the grip of addiction and the healing power of twelve step programs and supportive communities. During my college years, as I moved away from my family of origin and pursued a degree in dance, I began to notice obstacles, patterns and habits that were keeping me from living a happy, connected, radiant life. Through the practice of mindfulness meditation and dance performance, some of these blocks started to loosen their grip on my life.
After earning an MA in school counseling and the credential of National Certified Counselor, I worked for eight years as a licensed, national board certified school counselor. During that time I witnessed the debilitating effects of stress, trauma and other mental health challenges on the mind, body and spirit. As a result, I became increasingly committed to the healing power of mind/body practices, such as yoga, movement, and mindfulness-based stress reduction.
I am a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and am certified as a Mindfulness Meditation Teacher through Yoga International.
I am currently qualified to teach the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course as a phase 2 teacher in the MBSR teacher training program through Mindfulness Northwest under the direction of Tim Burnett.
